NSW Mob continue to be recognised by Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Art Awards in 2025

71 finalist works have been announced for this year’s 2025 Telstra NATSIAA, with three of these finalists coming from NSW artists.

This marks two years running where NSW artists are being recognised by these prestigious awards for their contributions and talent.

These NSW nominees include Dunghutti/Birripi/Wiradjuri artist Wanita Lowe for the Telsta General Painting Award and Emerging Artist award, Ngiyampaa Wangaaypuwan Pilaarrkiyalu artist Gene Kelaher for the Telsta General Painting award, and Muruwari artist Virginia Keft, for the Emerging Artist award and Wandjuk Marika Memorial 3D Award (Sponsored by Telstra).

Virginia is the Producer of bangawarra Art Yarns: for older and Elder mob at ACHAA Associate Member the Museum of Contemporary Art, Australia. We are always excited to see part of the wider ACHAA network be recognised, and give our best wishes to these NSW representatives and to all nominees across all categories.
