Tony Hart
“I picked up a brush and I haven’t looked back”
I HAVE BEEN CREATING ARTWORK SINCE I retired from football when I was 34, now I am 60-ish… so around 30 years. I have done a course at Wongala run by Tobwobba… Ron Brien who taught us how to paint and from then on I picked up a brush & I haven’t looked back.
I produce works on canvass and ceramics & sculptures. I like the variety of open expression with art and different mediums. I would have to thank Alison Williams who taught me ceramics at Yarrawarra which I now produce professionally.
I find ceramic art to be very beautiful. I love the effects of glazing…. Beautiful.
Tony has exhibited in the USA and his paintings are displayed in public buildings across new South Wales. His works are in private collections and he is featured in the Saltwater Freshwater Art book.
Tony has produced many public art installations within the mid north coast city of Coffs Harbour, homelands to his Gumbaynggirr people & heritage.
