Shane Brown
Shane Brown is a proud artist with strong connections to the Yuin Nation on his mother’s side and the Dunghutti Nation on his father’s side. He began painting at age 12, developing his skills alongside his mother, Aunty Lorraine Brown, a senior Coomaditchie artist and cultural leader. Shane’s art reflects his deep respect for culture, family, and community. His works carry stories, values, and teachings passed down through generations. Influenced by the wisdom of his Elders and grounded in his own lived experience, Shane’s practice is both personal and collective. Through his art, he shares a vision that connects past and present, inspiring future generations to be proud of who they are and where they come from. As a younger artist within the Coomaditchie community, Shane plays a vital role in carrying culture forward, continuing the legacy of his family while carving out his own unique path.
