Jessica Mook Brown
Jessica Mook Brown is a proud Dunghutti and Yuin woman and an emerging artist from the Coomaditchie community. As the granddaughter of senior artist and Elder Aunty Lorraine Brown, she grew up surrounded by art, culture, and strong family ties. From a young age, Jessica was encouraged to paint, learning by watching and working alongside her grandmother and other family members. Her journey has been shaped by close mentorship and the stories, values, and traditions passed down through generations. Jessica’s work reflects her connection to Country and community, drawing on her cultural heritage and coastal upbringing. Her paintings speak with a fresh voice, carrying the strength of her ancestors. As she grows as an artist, Jessica brings a deep respect for culture and a strong sense of identity. She represents the next wave of Coomaditchie artists—proud, grounded, and ready to share stories that honour tradition and embrace new perspectives.
